I could never call myself a “foodie”, because I just don’t know enough about food. I didn’t even know what an avocado was until I was in my late teens, and hadn’t tasted an olive until I was an adult.

But I’ve noticed that foodies seem to get excited about the same stuff that I get excited about, when it comes to BJ. The juice in this bottle was, just yesterday, inside blackcurrants hanging on the bushes about 500 metres away from me as I type this. From tomorrow (Friday) arvo, it’ll be on the shelves at Eumarrah, York Store, and Meredith’s Orchard. That’s very cool.

And foodies get the taste, too. I asked the guy in one cafĂ© where I’d left a sample what he thought of it, and he said, “oh, it was like I was slapped across the face – it was awesome!”

Yep – that’s why it’s “intense blackcurrant mix”.
